AMMC Foundation 10th Annual Benefit Beauty Pageant

The Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Foundation is now accepting entries for its 10th annual benefit beauty pageant. The pageant is scheduled for Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Paragould High School Auditorium at 1701 West Court Street.

Contestant categories include:

Afternoon Pageant 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. (Church Wear Only)
Wee Miss 0-12 months
Baby Miss 13-23 months
Toddler Miss 24-35 months
Tiny Miss 3-4 years
Petite Miss Kindergarten
Little Miss 1st and 2nd
Young Miss 3rd and 4th

Evening Pageant 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. (Formal Wear)
Pre-Teen Miss 5th-6th
Teen Miss 7th
Teen Miss 8th
Teen Miss 9th
Jr. Miss 10th
Jr. Miss 11th
Sr. Miss 12th

Afternoon pageant contestants should dress in church wear only. Evening pageant contestants should dress in formal wear. Winners will be announced throughout the day of the pageant.

Entry forms are available at AMMC’s information desk and on the web at under The Foundation/Special Events. The non-refundable entry fee is $40 per child. The early bird entry fee is $30 per child if payment is postmarked by Monday, February 28. Entry forms and fees may be mailed to AMMC Foundation; Attn: Sarena McCord; P.O. Box 339; Paragould, AR; 72451 and received no later than March 10, 2011. Entry forms will not be accepted during rehearsal or at the door.

There also will be a Most Photogenic Contest for each pageant category, with a non-refundable entry fee of $10 for each child. Photos (no frames please) for the competition should be submitted at the drop-in rehearsal or may be mailed with the entry form and fees.

Each contestant registered for the evening portion of the competition will be eligible for the Audience Favorite Award. Voting will be held in the Paragould High School lounge beginning at 5 p.m. the evening of the event, with the winners announced after the Senior Miss division.

Paragould High School will be selling pageant DVDs for $20 on the day of the event.

The winner of the Senior Miss AMMC competition will be honored as a 2011 AMMC Foundation Ambassador for various events and activities and awarded a $500 scholarship at a later date.

Admission to the pageant is $4 for adults and $3 for students. One adult will be admitted free with each contestant.

Drop in rehearsal is Thursday, March 10th from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. in the AMMC Auditorium at 900 W. Kingshighway.
