AMMC Recognized with Seven Awards by Arkansas Hospital Association

Arkansas Methodist Medical Center has been honored by the Arkansas Hospital Association (AHA) for outstanding hospital advertising, marketing and public relations with seven awards including two Diamond Awards, two Certificates of Excellence and three Judges’ Merit Awards.

AMMC took the top Diamond Awards for the medical center’s 2010 Annual Report, A Common Thread of Caring and for its "Healthy Affairs" Men’s and Women’s Health Fairs print advertisements.

AHA Certificates of Excellence were awarded for Chateau on the Ridge’s "The Excitement is Building" print ad and The Foundation’s "Elegant Oriental Evening" print ad, invitation and program.

In addition, AMMC received three Judges’ Merit Awards for its "Sweet Dreams" Sleep Medicine print advertisements; for its "Welcome Doctor" New Physician print advertisements and "An Evening with Beth Holloway" invitation, newsletter and magazine article.

The awards were presented to AMMC at an awards dinner held at The Peabody Hotel in Little Rock, Arkansas, in conjunction with the AHA’s 80th Annual Meeting and Trade Show.

"We are honored to be recognized by the AHA for our marketing efforts," AMMC’s President and CEO Ron Rooney said. "While our primary focus is providing compassionate,
quality care for our patients, we hope that our dedication and commitment to that care is reflected in our marketing and advertising efforts."

The Arkansas Hospital Association’s awards program is held annually to recognize Arkansas healthcare institutions for their exemplary work in the communications field.
