AMMC Hosts 15th Annual Women's Health Fair

Under the Big Top: Don’t Walk the Tight Rope When It Comes to Your Health
Arkansas Methodist Medical Center is sponsoring its 15th annual Women’s Health Fair on Thursday, October 4 from 7:00 am-4:00 pm in the Professional Office Building Auditorium at 1000 West Kingshighway, Paragould.
This year’s health fair will include:
· Lab tests for glucose and cholesterol screenings
· Blood pressure checks
· Weight and nutrition information
· Vision screenings and pressure checks from AMMC Ophthalmologist Dr. Lowell Hardcastle
· Other healthcare providers will have booths set up to showcase the latest information, products and trends in women’s healthcare.
All services are free to the public. The event also includes a chicken shish kabob lunch for $7.50 with the proceeds benefiting the AMMC Women’s Council. Food quantities are limited and are first come, first serve.
The Women’s and Men’s Health Fairs are held as a community service in continuing with Arkansas Methodist Medical Center’s "It’s all about you" standard of quality, compassionate healthcare. Plus, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The mission and purpose of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is to increase awareness of breast cancer issues including early detection and to encourage women to take charge of their own breast health.
