Gaskill Named to Board of Directors

Mike Gaskill has been chosen to serve as one of the newest members of Arkansas Methodist Medical Center’s Board of Directors. According to Barry Davis, President/CEO of AMMC, "Mike brings a unique set of knowledge and skills to the board because of his experience working within a government system and managing a diverse organization such as the City of Paragould."
Gaskill was elected mayor of Paragould in 1997. Since becoming mayor, he has been very active in the Arkansas Municipal League where he has served on Advisory and Executive Committees. Mike has also served as a Governor’s appointment to the Local Police and Fire Retirement Board (LOPFI) since 1998 and is the Vice Chair. He is also the chair of the Northeast Regional Solid Waste Management District (NEARSWMD), Workforce Investment Board and is the Vice Chair of the Southern Municipal Conference. When asked about serving as a member of the Arkansas Methodist Board of Directors, Gaskill says, "I believe the hospital is not only vital to the health of the citizens of Paragould but also the economic health of our community. It is an honor to be asked to serve and I look forward to contributing as a board member."
Mike is married to Tammie (Wann) Gaskill and they have two children, Andrew and Seth. They are members at Westview Baptist Church where Mike is a Sunday School teacher and serves on various committees.
