AMMC Hosts Home for the Holidays Cooking Show 2014

Arkansas Methodist Medical Center will host the Home for the Holidays Cooking Show to benefit its Community Diabetes Program at the Paragould Community Center gymnasium Thursday, November 6, 2014. Doors open at 5:30 PM allowing guests to visit vendors and the cooking show will start at 6:30 PM.
Cooking segments will be presented by local restaurateurs featuring holiday dishes. AMMC’s Certified Diabetes Educator Pat Malone, RN, will prepare an appetizer, spanakopita; Dave Aronson with Ironhorse BBQ will prepare an entrée and Nancy Hoke of Swirlz Frozen Treats and Coffee will share a delightful dessert. Light refreshments will be served. Audience members will receive a recipe booklet and will also have the opportunity to win door prizes, including pre-prepared portions of the dishes presented at the show. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door and may be purchased by calling (870) 239-7016 or at Swirlz.
Proceeds from the Home for the Holidays Cooking Show will benefit AMMC’s Community Diabetes Programs. The programs are offered every other month and include an educational presentation as well as a mini-cooking show hosted by Certified Diabetes Educators Pat Malone, RN and Allison Hitt, RN and the AMMC Education Department.
