Foundation Fiesta Raises More than $25,000
The Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Foundation’s inaugural “Foundation Fiesta” event raised more than $25,000.
The Foundation Fiesta, held on Saturday, May 9, was a Cinco de Mayo-themed fundraising party coordinated by the AMMC Foundation Ambassadors. Approximately 150 tickets were sold, and proceeds from the event benefit the AMMC Foundation and are invested in the continued development of the medical center.
“The response from the medical center’s friends was tremendous,” said AMMC Foundation Director Terry Austin. “We’re very thankful that we were able to enjoy such support, and especially during this busy time of year. We are blessed to have so many faithful supporters of the Foundation and AMMC – people who understand the importance of keeping a vibrant, community-based hospital in Paragould. We’re also blessed by the brilliance and hard work of The Ambassadors, who put countless hours into planning and preparing this event.”
Two prizes were awarded at the event. A trip to Cancun, sponsored by Mary Ellen and Bob Warner and valued at $3,000, was won by Dr. L.L. Shedd. Sissy’s Log Cabin in Jonesboro provided Konstantino earrings and a ring (valued at $1,300), which were won by Kelly Roswell.
The AMMC Foundation Ambassadors provide leadership in the development of events and programs to raise funding for and awareness of The Foundation.
