Admission Requirements
AMMC wants to ensure all patients meet our specific admissions criteria for inpatient rehabilitation programs. Prospective inpatient rehabilitation patients must:
- Have a medical need and require 24-hour nursing care
- Require daily access to a physician to oversee medical and rehab needs
- Require a minimum of two types of therapy
- Be able to tolerate or build to a level of intense therapy - minimum of three hours daily, five days per week
- Achieve rehabilitation goals in a reasonable period of time
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Pay with Medicare, select HMOs and/or private pay
- Can be admitted from physician's office, hospital, ER or home
