In fact, AMMC is the only CARF (Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities) accredited physical rehabilitation and stroke specialty program in Northeast Arkansas. Admission Requirements AMMC wants to ensure all patients meet our specific admissions criteria for inpatient rehabilitation programs. Prospective inpatient rehabilitation patients must:
- Have a medical need and require 24-hour nursing care
- Require daily access to a physician to oversee medical and rehab needs
- Require a minimum of two types of therapy
- Be able to tolerate or build to a level of intense therapy - minimum of three hours daily, five days per week
- Achieve rehabilitation goals in a reasonable period of time
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Pay with Medicare, select HMOs and/or private pay
- Can be admitted from physician's office, hospital, ER or home
