The Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Wellness Center is a hospital-based fitness center open to the community 24 hours a day/7 days a week/365 days a year. The facility offers traditional fitness equipment complete with over 150 pieces of free weights, 15 selectorized weight machines, 15 cardiovascular machines, and a cushioned indoor walking path. The unique features of a medical component include monitoring of blood pressure, body composition, lung capacity and nutritional analysis to assist in achieving a healthy lifestyle.
The focus of the AMMC Wellness Center is to be an extension of the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center’s mission of health, hope and healing.

The AMMC Wellness Center is a national member of the Medical Fitness Association of Hospital Based Wellness Centers throughout North America and abroad.
Services and Amenities:
Fitness Assessments -We encourage all new members to obtain an initial fitness assessment. Contact the Wellness Center to schedule an initial assessment to determine your beginning level of training. A physician referral may be required.
Fitness Orientation -An orientation of the equipment to familiarize members with the cardiovascular and strength equipment is provided upon request.
Fitness Evaluation -A fitness evaluation is provided for those who engage in personal training programs to determine their fitness levels based on age and gender adjusted tables.
Fitness Profiles -Fitness profiles are provided free every three months upon request. As a member, you simply request a blood profile voucher. Blood cholesterol and blood sugar samples are then taken to determine your fitness profile.
Amenities -The Wellness Center provides locker rooms and lockers for both genders. Towels, soap and changing areas are also available.

Matrix is an endless variety of exercises to build strength, improve cardio-fitness, gain balance and challenge your flexibility.
Les Mills Body Flow is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that bring the body into a state of harmony and balance.
Power Pump is 60-minute workout that builds strength and increases stamina using the best weight-room exercises.
The Silver Sneakers Fitness Program (SSFP) is a proven, results-oriented program that enables older adults the opportunity to take charge of their health and maintain an active, independent lifestyle. Sport Specific Program is a combination of traditional strength training and strongman exercises. Young athletes will flip over this program as they are challenged to continually make improvements.
Step Plus is a high intensity, low impact combination of step aerobics, light weights and core work.
