Wellness Center

The focus of the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Wellness Center is to be an extension of AMMC's mission of health, hope and healing.

Membership Plans include:
Group Fitness Classes (Les Mills Body Flow, Power Pump, Matrix, Silver Sneakers Fitness Program, Basic Self Defense and Step Plus)
Seniors (55 Plus)
Government (non-military)
AMMC and Affiliates (Employees, Physicians, Boards, Spouses and Dependents) 

Here's a brief description of the group fitness classes offered:

Step Plus is a fun high intensity, low impact combination of step aerobics, core work and light weights. 

Silver Sneakers
is designed to improve muscular strength and range of motion for persons typically older than 65 to have fun in a group setting.

Body Flow is a blend of tai chi, yoga and pilates designed to have fun and improve balance, strength and flexibility for all populations.

Power Pump 
adds fun to your day by building strength and increasing stamina using the best weight-room exercises for fat loss and muscle gain.

Matrix is an endless variety of exercises to improve all aspects of fitness in a fun, but challenging environment.

Basic Self Defense focuses on self-defense techniques such as holds, grabs, bars and methods to escape from such attacks. This class is designed for beginners and non-martial arts individuals.

All of our classes feature music from today and yesterday to keep classes fresh and fun!

The AMMC Wellness Center is a national member of the Medical Fitness Association of Hospital Based Wellness Centers throughout North America and abroad.

The Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Wellness Center is a hospital-based fitness center open to the community 24 hours a day/7 days a week/365 days a year. The facility offers traditional fitness equipment complete with more than 150 pieces of free weights, 12 selectorized weight machines, 16 cardiovascular machines and a cushioned indoor walking path. The unique features of a medical component include monitoring of blood pressure, body composition, free quarterly lab work and an initial coaching session to assist in achieving a healthy lifestyle.
