The VISION of Arkansas Methodist Medical Center is "Through dedication, we will provide quality healthcare and promote wellness to the communities we serve thus establishing AMMC as your first choice in healthcare." The staff is committed to providing safe, quality healthcare. This commitment begins with the Mission and Vision of the hospital and extends through the strategic plan. The staff recognizes and values the important role quality and safety play in providing cost-effective services and is committed to providing you with the highest quality care in the most effective and safest manner possible.
AMMC works closely with the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care (AFMC) to improve the quality of patient care. AMMC has been awarded the Platinum Achievement Award two years in a row for the improvements in the care and treatment of patients with heart failure, pneumonia and acute myocardial infarction. AMMC was one of the first hospitals in the state to agree to public reporting of quality data and was recently chosen by AFMC to participate in a special group to improve care not only in our community, but across the state.
AMMC is proud to be accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). JCAHO accreditation means we have demonstrated compliance with national standards in patient safety and quality of care. We embrace accreditation as an opportunity to review key processes and receive important feedback from national quality and safety experts.
In addition to JCHAO, AMMC also boasts accreditations from other prestigious organizations like the College of American Pathologists, the American Association of Blood Banks, the American College of Radiology, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
