“We combined the best features, the most wanted things and gathered advice from those who knew more about it than we did,” said Bill Block. “As things appeared several years ago it was quite evident that Paragould needed an assisted living facility. It was an entirely new subject and took a committee visiting 12-15 assisted living facilities and almost two years of study but it is now, thank goodness, coming to fruition.”
Chateau on the Ridge, only 1 ¼ miles from Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, is located on the site of a former dairy farm tracing back to the World War II era.
Plans call for the approximately 52 acre site of the retirement community to be developed into a continuing care retirement community to take care of residents’ needs ranging from independent living to many different specialized care options, which may be required throughout life.
Retirement Community Board Members Alvin Samuel, Bill Block, Bill Fisher, Fred Swindle and Moud Gazaway have taken the lead in planning this major endeavor with the goal of offering an attractive, affordable place to live. Despite its uptown appearance, numerous amenities and services, Chateau on the Ridge will offer one of the best values in retirement living through only payment of a monthly fee. |
