Medical Technologist, Supervisor, Blood Bank (Full Time, Days)
Description:
Ensure proficiency testing is performed as required; assist development of QC protocols and ensure they are followed as required; ensure all corrective actions are followed before any test results are released; trouble shooting, routine maintenance; become subject matter expert consultant for other techs; review and sign procedure manual annually; write new procedures and update existing procedures as necessary; train employees in the sections, evaluate competency of each tech for that section; recommend additional training education as needed; ensure section is in compliance with CAP,AABB,etc., ; effectively interact with patients, families, visitors and other staff members while maintaining standards of laboratory professionals
Requirements:
Medical Technology Degree and a Current National certification or eligible for certification. Previous Blood Bank and supervisory experience preferred.
