Lana Williams started at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center as the Director of Performance Improvement when she and her family moved to Paragould in 2001. She was given additional duties as the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer in 2007 and was named the Chief Nursing Officer in 2012. She is a graduate of Arkansas State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1987 and a Master of Science in Nursing, Adult Health Nursing, with an emphasis in Nursing Administration in 2013. She has held a certification in Healthcare Quality from the Healthcare Quality Certification Commission since 2005. She is a member of The Arkansas Association for Healthcare Quality, the Arkansas Center for Nursing Board of Directors, Leadership Paragould Class VIII and the Paragould Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
As the Chief Nursing Officer, Williams is responsible for the practice of nursing by ensuring consistency in the standard of nursing practice across all clinical areas. As a member of the administrative team, she supports and facilitates a team approach in strategic planning, development, implementation and evaluation of clinical programs and services; assuring appropriate resources for the delivery of quality healthcare to patients, families and the communities AMMC serves.
Lana and her husband, Al, attend Center Hill Church of Christ and have two children, a son, Alan, and a daughter, Andrea.
