Title: Hospital Pharmacist - Hybrid (Clinical/Operations)
Description: As a hybrid hospital pharmacist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care. You will work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the safe and effective use of medications, provide medication education to patients and staff, and help develop and implement pharmacy programs that enhance patient care quality. Some of these programs include 340B optimization, and a new discharge prescription program. Responsibilities: Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness. Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes. Provide medication counseling to patients and their families. Monitor and manage drug therapy for patients with complex medical conditions. Participate in medication safety initiatives and quality improvement projects. Stay up-to-date with the latest pharmaceutical developments and treatment guidelines. Maintain accurate and complete patient records. Provide discharge prescriptions and employee prescriptions and counseling. Will be responsible for various 340B optimization tasks.
Requirements: State licensure as a Pharmacist in Arkansas. Maintains continuing education requirements in the state of Arkansas Hospital pharmacy experience preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to patient safety and quality care. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
