Arkansas Methodist Medical Center hosted its annual meeting on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.  The AMMC corporation board, which oversees AMMC, met to review activities and accomplishments over the past fiscal year.  During 2022-2023, AMMC’s activities and accomplishments included:

  • Caring for 135,274 patients
  • Providing $3.9 million in uncompensated patient care, in keeping with the medical center’s non-profit mission
  • Employing 524 local citizens and investing more than $40 million into the local economy in wages and benefits
  • Welcoming new providers:
    • Kirk Coward, APRN – AMMC Family Practice
    • Albert Fonticiella, MD – AMMC Fonticiella Medical Center
    • Brandi Hyde, APRN – AMMC Neurology Associates
    • Charbel Maroun, MD – AMMC Orthopaedic Associates
    • Ronald South, MD – AMMC Neurology Associates
    • Henry Stroope, MD – AMMC Orthopaedic Associates
    • Callie Talley, APRN – AMMC Hines Family Medicine
    • Jodi Turano, MD – AMMC Women’s Clinic

AMMC President/CEO Barry Davis said, “This organization has always been committed to growing and evolving to meet the community’s needs.  During this fiscal year, AMMC has continued that mission by acquiring new clinics, adding new physicians to our staff and expanding existing service lines.”

Mr. Davis was recognized for his 43 years of service, and it was announced he is the recipient of the 2023 A. Allen Weintraub Memorial Award.  This award is the highest honor bestowed upon an individual by the Arkansas Hospital Association.  Davis will retire from AMMC on August 31, 2023.
